I had an amazing time attending Manufacturing World Japan 2024 in Tokyo from June 19-21! 🚀 This event was packed with cutting-edge innovations in mechanical components, automation, and precision processing—exactly the kind of technology that drives Kuma Technology forward.
I’ve always had a deep appreciation for Japanese craftsmanship. But let’s be real—I don’t blindly idolize it. I see it as a benchmark, a standard to learn from and even compete with. 😉 Interestingly, “Kuma” comes from the Japanese word for bear (熊), but it also holds a deeper meaning. It’s part of founder’s name, and more importantly, it represents the resilient spirit of Taiwan’s Formosan black bear. 🐻🔥 That’s the energy we bring to our work—strong, adaptable, and always evolving.
This trip wasn’t just about admiring technology. It was about staying ahead of industry trends, actively exchanging knowledge, and forming valuable connections. At Kuma Technology, we don’t just follow industry movements—we dive in and engage with them. Whether it’s discussing CNC precision machining or exploring new materials for metal parts processing, we’re always learning and pushing forward. 🔩⚙️
Beyond the business side of things, I made sure to soak in Tokyo’s culture. I even joined a local Toastmasters club, where I had the chance to practice public speaking and meet incredible people. It was a refreshing experience to step out of the industrial world for a moment and engage in cross-cultural conversations. 🗣️🌍 Nothing beats making new friends while improving communication skills at the same time!
This trip was a reminder that true progress comes from staying curious, being open to new ideas, and building strong relationships—both in business and in life. Kuma Technology is all about this mindset, and I can’t wait to bring these insights back to our work. Till next time, Japan! ✈️ 🇹🇼
