From the moment we entered their fully temperature-controlled facility, the commitment to extreme precision was evident. Liy Cheng operates state-of-the-art equipment, including the YASDA YBM Vi40V3 five-axis precision machining center and advanced wire-cut EDM systems, achieving machining precision consistently within ±1µm. 🔬
Specializing in the production of high-precision molds for optical components and golf ball applications, Liy Cheng utilizes self-developed tool grinding technologies and custom-designed clamping systems. Every critical point in the machining process is carefully managed to ensure unparalleled accuracy and stability.
The company’s excellence has been widely recognized, with multiple first-place awards in precision engineering competitions and the honor of being named an Outstanding SME at the 21st Taichung City Government Golden Hand Awards. 🏆
Further enhancing their quality assurance capabilities, Liy Cheng has introduced the German Leitz Reference HP coordinate measuring machine (CMM), dramatically boosting both production efficiency and inspection precision.
In addition to its central facility in Taichung, Liy Cheng has expanded its footprint across Taiwan, establishing operations in the north, center, and south. Notably, their northern plant has adopted metal 3D printing technology, equipped with a dual-laser 500W×2 metal additive manufacturing system. This advancement enables the design of conformal cooling channels within molds, significantly improving thermal management, increasing product yields, and reducing mold forming cycles by up to 60% — resulting in substantial cost savings. The technology is particularly suited for high-precision, high-complexity applications in the medical, semiconductor, aerospace, and automotive industries.
